Abdul Basir Sherzad 

Bashir is a Medical Doctor. He completed his degree from Kabul Medical Institute in Curative Medicine. He had worked as Lecturer of Pediatric in Khost University Afghanistan for two years. He worked as Technical Officer with BRAC Afghanistan since 2004.

Takele graduated from Gondar University, Ethiopia, in 2003 with Doctorate degree in medicine (MD). He had worked as a General Medical Practitioner for the first two years in both private and Government hospitals. Takele was working as HIV and AIDS program Coordinator in World Vision Ethiopia before he joined the MPH program.



Sachin Juneja 

Sachin completed his degree in Marketing Management from Malaviya Regional Engineering College, Rajasthan, India in year 2001 and M.A in Sociology from University of Rajasthan, India in 2004.He was working as Program Officer in RACHNA (Reproductive and Child Health, Nutrition and AIDS program) program at CARE India.



Yuko Akiba

Yuko completed her MA in Japanese from the University
Wisconsin Madison, USA. She was working as Programme Assistant: JICA Volunteer in Zambia at the United Nations World Food Programme.



Hnin Su Su Khin

Hnin Su Su Khin completed her MBBS degree from Mandalay Medical University , Myanmar in 2000. She had worked at Nestle as a Nutrition Advisor for Infant Nutrition Department. Later she joined United Pharma, a Philippine based pharmaceutical marketing company as a Medical specialist,Before she joined the MPH program, she was working at Medicines Sans Frontiers as a Medical Doctor in a Malaria project.



Sujeeta Bajracharya (Shakya)

Sujeeta completed her Bachelors in Public Health (BPH) in 2001 and Masters in Public Administration (MPA) in 2004 from Nepal. She had completed her Masters in Population and Reproductive Health Research (MPRRH) in 2006 from Institute of Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, Thailand. She has been working as Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Program Officer at John Snow Incorporate (JSI)Nepal, Family Health Program



Shah Muhammad

Dr Shah Muhammad completed medical graduation from Dow Medical College Karachi Pakistan in 1998-99. After completing internship, he joined department of pediatrics and child health at Aga Khan University and was involved in different research projects both at urban as well as rural areas of Pakistan. Before joining the School, he was involved in a project called Hala Perinatal and newborn care aiming to reduce perinatal and neonatal mortality through cost effective interventions.



Berezy Makaranga

Berezy completed her Degree of Medicine in 2006 from 
Muhimbili University College of Health Sciences, Tanzania. She has worked in the same University College for one year.

Vanesse Justine Desiree Platteel

Vanesse has completed her MA in Medical Anthropology from the University of Amsterdam. Her research focused on the experiences of illegal immigrant women and their access to the health care system in the Netherlands.



Achan Everlyne

Achan has a bachelor degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University Kampala and a post graduate qualification in Project Monitoring and Evaluation from Uganda Management Institute. Volunteered for Uganda Aids Commission (UAC) in enhancing Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health(ASRH)-Northern Uganda, was the Sanitation officer for Caritas International, and worked at the International Criminal Court The Netherlands, before joining the school. Jude Senkungu

Jude completed his Master's of Medicine in 2006 from the Mbarara University of Science and Technology in Uganda in Pediatrics and Child Health. He has been working as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health, Mbarara University.

Alicia L Cooper 

Alicia Cooper received her BS in Biological Sciences and Anthropology from the University of Notre Dame, USA. She has worked as a research and teaching assistant for a National Science Foundation REU in Biological Anthropology, and as an Institutional Development Intern at the Global Health Council.



Abdullah Al Mamun

Mamun is a Medical Doctor and graduated from Mymensingh Medical College in 2003. He worked as a Project Research Physician at ICDDR,B Mohakhali. Before joining in the MPH Program he was working as a Research Medical Officer in Chicago University and Columbia University Led Clinical Trial Project Chemoprevention of Arsenic Induced Skin Cancer.



Afrina Karim

Afrina graduated from the University of Dhaka in 2003 (Exam held in year 2005). She had appeared the M.S exam in 2004 (exam held in year 2007). Her study background was Statistics.



Ahmadul Hasan Khan 

Ahmadul Hasan Khan is a medical doctor passed M.B.B.S from Dhaka Medical College & Hospital. Before joining the MPH course, He was working as Resident of Orthopaedics in Dhaka Medical College Hospital. After completing MPH he worked in National Tuberculosis Control Programme, Bangladesh as consultant of epidemiology and surveillance. Then he joined ICDDR,B with the Immunology Laboratory under the Laboratory Sciences Division.



AKM Shahid Ullah

Shahid Ullah has a Bachelor Degree of Science in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering from Khulna University in 2005. He has been working as a Research Student at the Plant Molecular Biology Laboratory, Khulna University.



Anita Sharif Chowdhury

Anita completed her Masters in Demography from Dhaka University (Bangladesh). She worked as a research associate in BRAC (a Bangladesh based International NGO) research division, as a Policy Analyst in Research Triangle Institute (RTI, an American research institute) also in UNFPA, Bangladesh as a Program Associate. Before joining in the MPH program she was working as a monitoring and evaluation specialist in BRAC Health Program overseeing Water Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) project.



Antora Mahmud Khan

Antora obtained the degree of "Bachelor in Dental Surgery" (BDS) from Bangladesh Dental College,University of Dhaka in 2005. She had the opportunity to work as a member of a Dental Team providing dental treatment and advice to the Myanmar Rohingya Refugees in Cox's Bazaar, Bangladesh under UNHCR support and also other dental camps in rural and urban levels.



Iffat Sharmin Chowdhury

Iffat is a Medical Doctor and completed her MBBS degree from Dhaka University,2004.Later she joined as a Lecturer in Community Medicine at Z.H.Sikder Women's Medical College and Hospital, Dhaka.



Marufa Aziz Khan

Marufa completed her Masters of Science in Nutrition from Institute of Nutrition and Food Science, Dhaka University in 1994. Later she joined as a Research Associate at BRAC.



Md. Arif Sobhan

Arif Sobhan is a medical doctor. He graduated from Sher-e-Bangla Medical College in 1997. After graduation he joined in Helen Keller International and participated in the national survey on vitamin -A defficiency. Thereafter he joined in BSMMU hospital for post graduation training in Clinical Medicine. Before joining to JPGSPH MPH programe, He had worked in Epidemic control preparedness unit, ICDDRB for eight years.



Mashida Rashid

Mashida Rashid graduated from North South University with a BSc in Environmental Science and Management. She also worked in New Age, a national daily, as a Senior Staff Writer, where she covered social issues with a focus on children's rights. She moved to the health sector and worked as a counselor trainee at the Child Development Center of Dhaka Shishu Hospital.



Mohammad Mofijul Islam

Mofijul is a Medical Doctor. He graduated from Mymensingh Medical College, 2005. He was working as a Product Executive in Incepta Pharmaceuticals.



Mahmud Uz Zaman

Mahmud has completed his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College in the year 2004. He has been working as a Project Research Physician in ICDDR,B, Mirzapur,Tangail.

Nuzhat Chowdhury

Ms. Nuzhat Chowdhury completed her first MS degree in psychology from University of Dhaka in 2000. She completed MPH in 2008 from JPGSPH BRAC University. She worked as a Substitute Lecturer (Psychology) in Shiddheswari Girls College, as a Mental Health Counselor in a research project Domestic Violence against Women and also volunteered several counseling session for substance users, as a Psychologist in pre-school and also volunteer the student assessment session in the department of Educational Psychology, University of Dhaka. Currently Ms. Nuzhat is working as a Research Associate in the area of Health Systems Management at JPGSPH, BRAC University.



Naznine Anwar

Naznine completed her Master of Science from Dhaka University in the year 2002. She has been working as a Technical Officer VCT(Voluntary Counseling & Testing)in Family Health International.



Sabrina Sharmin

Sabrina completed her MBBS from Bangladesh Medical College. She had worked with renowned Obstetrician after completing her internship. Then for two years she had worked with BRAC Afghanistan in different position in Health Program. Before joining this course she was working in Intervida Bangladesh as Program Coordinator in Health Sector.



Sadia Afreen

Sadia is a Medical doctor, earned her MBBS degree from Armed Forces Medical College in 2006. She was working as a lecturer in the Armed Forces Medical College.



Taufiqul Joarder

Taufiq has completed his MBBS from Dinajpur Medical College in the year 2006. He has been working as a Programme Presenter in Health related daily talk show in RTV.
