Nazrana Khaled is a Research Associate at BRAC James P. Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University. She has completed her Bachelors in Life Sciences from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and has a Master of Public Health (Advanced) from the Australian National University (ANU).

 

Her primary areas of research interest are migrant and refugee health, sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) and mental health. She is interested in mixed-methods research. Currently, Ms. Khaled is a part of several projects at the school, including an implementation research evaluating BRAC’s Early Childhood Development (ECD) model, the Humanitarian Play Lab (HPL), in the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazaar. She has also been part of a study exploring the health seeking behavior of Rohingya refugees in selected camps.

 

Prior to joining the school, she has worked as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Mental Health Research (CMHR) in ANU’s Research School of Population Health (RSPH), where she was involved in an Australian government-funded project aiming to create an evidence-based hub of digital mental health tools for members of the public. She has also completed ICDDR,B’s Field Experience Program and an Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROPS) during her undergraduate degree at NUS.
