Objective
Project Objective: Impacts of displacement on decision making for early marriage, childbearing, and family planning among Rohingya adolescents.
Project Synopsis: To achieve the objectives of the study, it will adopt a sequential explanatory mixed- method design. Adolescent girls and boys (both married and unmarried) between 15- 24 years from 15 Rohingya camps will be reached through this study. We aim to conduct a quantitative survey in 1600 households (approximately 3200 adolescents) in 15 of the Rohingya camps of Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. For the qualitative components, the participatory method is being used in combination with conventional approaches to get in depth understanding of the topic area. IDIs will be conducted along with Life timeline and FGDs will be conducted with Venn Diagram with the target groups. In addition, we will also conduct 20- 25 KIIs with the relevant influential people to understand their perspectives and key gaps and challenges. The findings will be utilized to inform the key stakeholders to develop strategies and modify the existing ones to improve the overall situation of early marriage, childbearing, and family planning in Rohingya camps.
