2020 in Retrospect: The Year of the Pandemic

In 2020, given the on-going crisis, the Centre for Professional Skills Development on Public Health (CPSD) conducted training, seminars, workshops, webinars, the majority of which were focused on COVID-19 and the challenges that came with it.

Research

BRAC JPGSPH, BRACU conducted over 110 research projects in 2020 including 48 research that targeted issues, such as increased gender-based violence, stigma, maternal and child health, nutrition, mental health, etc which emerged as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Advocacy

The public health emergency related to COVID-19 has led to active aggregating and sharing of useful resource materials locally and globally to a wider audience, including BRAC University, health organizations, key stakeholders, partners, and networks.
