BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University looks back at 2020, a year ravaged by the COVID-19 pandemic, by recapping how the institution adapted to a nationwide lockdown; what activities and measures it undertook, and how it continued its work on critical health challenges affecting disadvantaged communities.
In 2020, given the on-going crisis, the Centre for Professional Skills Development on Public Health (CPSD) conducted training, seminars, workshops, webinars, the majority of which were focused on COVID-19 and the challenges that came with it.
BRAC JPGSPH, BRACU conducted over 110 research projects in 2020 including 48 research that targeted issues, such as increased gender-based violence, stigma, maternal and child health, nutrition, mental health, etc which emerged as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
