Objective:• To understand the workplace environment and nature of employment contract of the employed midwives in Bangladesh,
• To identify the actual role played by the employed midwives both in government and private sector employment,
• To explore whether the midwives can practice the respectful maternity care at current workplaces they work,
• To understand the willingness of the midwives to take-up private practice at the community in addition to their regular job,
• To explore the corrective measures to overcome the identified challenges.
