Stakeholder workshop organised by the CARE project to explore how climate change is impacting adolescent SRHR
On 17 December 2025, the CARE project convened government officials, researchers, academics, and programme managers explore how climate change is impacting adolescent SRHR in one of the worldโs most climate-vulnerable countries. Led by ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ผ๐น ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐ ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ in partnership with BRAC JPGSPH, the CARE Project centres adolescent voices to inform Southern-led policy, practice, and curricula. This dialogue marks an important step towards breaking silos and ensuring policies and programmes respond to the realities young people face.

On 7 December, 2025, the Local Government Division (LGD) hosted a workshop on the ๐๐ข๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐งโ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ฌ๐ก in Dhaka. As the research partner under the ๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ซ๐๐ฏ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐๐๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐๐๐ญ (๐๐๐๐๐๐๐) with support from the ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ค, ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ presented key findings from an ongoing study supporting evidence-informed and health-focused air pollution adaptation plan for urban Bangladesh. A๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ were also presented to strengthen Bangladeshโs capacity to adapt to air pollutionโrelated health risks through locally implementable, evidence-based strategies. Professor Syed Masud Ahmed, Director of the Centre of Excellence for Health Systems and Universal Health Coverage (CoE-HS&UHC), joined global and regional thought leaders at the Regional Workshop on Human Resources for Health in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in July 2025. Co-organised by The Asian Collective for Health Systems (TACHS) and World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for South East Asia (SEARO), the workshop focused on strengthening the competence and compassion of the health workforce across South and Southeast Asia.
