The Master of Public Health (MPH) Programme at BRAC JPGSPH, BRAC University is a 1.5 years full-time international programme that that has been offering transformative learning since January 2005 to develop next-generation public health leaders.
Our innovative methodologies engage students in experiential learning and urban-rural community-based fieldwork to strengthen their understanding of public health challenges in a developing world context. We also have a strong pool of global faculty from top academic institutions.
The programme has been recognised for its excellence in education by Johns Hopkins University, World Health Organization (WHO), and South-East Asia Public Health Education Institutions Network (SEAPHEIN).

Global Public Health Faculty and Practitioners
Facilitatng this real-world contextual learning are the reputed global and natonal professors at BRAC JPGSPH who are grounded in critcal public health research, practce and programmes. Students gain insightul practcal knowledge and know-how from both faculty engaged in applied public health research informing health programmes and policy; and leading public health practtoners with extensive experience in strategising, designing and operatonalising programmes. In addition, visitng faculty working cross-sectorally in health within the fields of law, business, media, governance, educaton, etc provide a comprehensive understanding of the complexites affectng health services.
Alongside the core curriculum, the School draws on diverse faculty specializatons and developing world health priorites as global and community health, ethics, applied anthropology, urban poverty, qualitatve methods, health programme management, monitoring and evaluaton and implementaton science.
Experiential Community Immersive Learning
The Master of Public Health (MPH) programme at BRAC JPGSPH places a strong emphasis on field visits as the programme centres around its Experiential Community- Immersive teaching and learning through intensive urban and rural fieldwork. The programme has an extensive network of 36 field sites in Bangladesh, where students can conduct field visits as part of their coursework.
These sites cover a wide range of public health issues, including maternal and child health, infectious disease control, and health systems strengthening. This provides the students the opportunity to practically work in the community and visit service delivery organisatons and health facilities which enhances their understanding of public health challenges in both rural and urban contexts.
