Objective:The overall aim of this proposal is to inform a policy debate about possible guidelines that schools of public health as well as public health academics could use in making decisions about accepting funds from for-profit corporations.
The specific research objectives include:
• Assess the attitudes and practices of public health academics globally with respect to taking funds from for-profit corporations – with particular emphasis on corporations whose products are associated with NCDs.
• Assess the policies that govern schools of public health around the globe vis-à-vis taking funds from for-profit corporations.
