Objective:We are proposing a study of exposure to daylight within the city of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is an excellent opportunity to develop a new research track. We propose to explore novel approaches to modelling daylighting at the urban scale in Dhaka. Based on the daylight modeling results, we will identify vulnerable areas where the community people are not getting enough sunlight. Then we will conduct key informant interviews and focus group discussions at those vulnerable communities, and analyze results to develop policy scenarios with our partners in the Pathways to Equitable Healthy Cities project ('Pathways'; equitablehealthycities.org/).
