Short Biography
Nazrana Khaled is a Research
Fellow at the BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University, with
over eight years of research experience. Her work focuses on the social
determinants of health, with interests in sexual and reproductive health and
rights, maternal, neonatal, child and adolescent health, nutrition, early
childhood development, and mental health, with a strong focus on gender equity.
She has expertise in qualitative research and growing experience with mixed
methods enquiry.
At BRAC JPGSPH, Nazrana leads and supports multiple
projects, contributing to proposal development, study design, ethical review,
training, supervision of data collection, qualitative data analysis, and research dissemination. She also serves as a teaching fellow in the Master of Public
Health (MPH) program at the school, mentoring students in the Qualitative
Research Methods module and guiding their Summative Learning Projects (SLP).
Nazrana has published in peer-reviewed journals and contributed opinion pieces to national newspapers in Bangladesh. She previously worked with the Centre for Mental Health Research at the Australian National University. She holds a Master of Public Health (Advanced) with commendation from the Australian National University and a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from the National University of Singapore.
