Short Biography
Dr. ALI AHSAN is a Deputy Research Coordinator at the Centre of Excellence for Non-communicable Disease and Nutrition. He also coordinates the center. He is skilled in quantitative and qualitative research, non-communicable disease epidemiological research design, cross-sectional data analysis, conducting training, and disseminating research findings. He is coordinating Bangladesh part of a multi-country NCD surveillance study that explores the patterns and determinants of health in south asian populations. He is also involved in a project that aims to develop and test a sub-district-level intervention model to prevent and control NCDs. In 2022, He worked as a teaching fellow for NCD and Aging, and Health course in JPG SPH. He is one of the national master trainers for WHO PEN intervention. He received an NIHR award grant to pursue his Master in Public Health (MPH) from BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University. He got his MBBS degree from Rangpur Medical College, Rangpur. He completed the certificate course in Diabetology from BIRDEM Hospital. He also has Post graduate training in General Surgery. He worked as an indoor medical officer at Enam Medical college hospital.
