Short Biography

I am Sukamal Chakma, Currently, I am working as a Senior Officer, Data Management in BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University. I have been working in the data management and engaging in different number of projects. My academic and working experience MSS in sociology and data management. In my current role, my principal job responsibility requires me to develop and process data using digital data collection tools such as Kobo toolbox, SurveyCTO and ODK, ensuring that the logical settings of questionnaires are in place and working properly, providing training of Tablet PC use, and explaining data server settings for sending data to Field Enumerators. Additionally, I am proficient in STATA and SPSS for data entry and cleaning, data analysis, data coding and code-list preparation, etc. Moreover, I have experience in monitoring the data collection activities of the enumerators, visiting fields to supervise and oversee the data collection process, communicating with the enumerators to resolve any challenges and verify questionable survey data. I am also willing to work extra hours as well as on holidays in case of looming deadlines and to undertake any other related tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
