Short Biography
Ms Baby Naznin is a public health researcher at James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University. She is a junior health economist with more than three years of research experience conducting health economics and health systems research. She has been involved in several national and international projects related to the health service delivery system of Bangladesh. She has expertise in both qualitative and quantitative methods. Her primary research interests include impact evaluation, health systems research, health financing, economic evaluation, systematic review etc. Currently, Ms Naznin is coordinating an FCDO-funded multi-country research project and capacity-strengthening activities in Bangladesh and Nepal under her supervisor at JPGSPH. In this project, she has been involved in conducting several capacity assessments of different stakeholders, developing capacity-strengthening plans, and organizing different capacity development activities (e.g., training, webinars, mentoring). She has been involved in several economic evaluation studies where she conducted cost analysis as well as cost-effectiveness analysis of different health interventions. Ms Naznin has wide experience in designing qualitative and quantitative studies, developing research strategies and data collection tools, conducting IDIs, KIIs, FGDs, and planning, and organizing consultation workshops and seminars with stakeholders. She has a good knowledge of different Statistical Software used in data analysis (e.g., STATA, NVivo). In all the projects, she has been involved in writing reports, conducting secondary data analysis, and disseminating research findings. Prior to her research career, she completed her graduation and post-graduation in Health Economics from the Institute of Health Economics at the University of Dhaka.
