Short Biography
Muhammad Abdul Mannan is a Research Assistant at BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health (BRAC JPGSPH), BRAC University. He completed his BSS and MSS in Anthropology at the University of Chittagong. He has over 05 years of research experience in the area of Anthropology and Public Health and is skilled in qualitative research approaches. He is primarily interested in infectious disease, implementation research, development, and migration and diaspora. Currently, he is engaged in the "Bangladesh health sector’s preparedness to fight against future pandemics: A qualitative exploration of existing scenarios and best practices for future readiness." project. Besides, he has served as a Teaching Fellow in the Qualitative Research Methodology course at the Centre for Professional Skills Development in Public Health at JPGSPH. Previously, he worked as an anthropologist and social science researcher with several renowned national and international organizations and institutions like ODI, SOAS, BRAC, etc. Also, he was the former president of the Lakshmipur District Students Association at Chittagong University, a volunteer organization that significantly helps marginal students who can't afford education.
