Short Biography
Nazia Islam has been working in JPGSPH as a Learning, Evaluation and Documentation Specialist in a multi-country project named "Accountability and Responsiveness in Informal Settlements for Equity (ARISE)" since July 2022. She has over ten years of experience working in the development sector. Her areas of interest and expertise include policy and implementation research; project planning and management; and evidence-based policy advocacy in the public health, nutrition, and broader development arena. Her skill also includes project monitoring and evaluation; and process documentation. Nazia has completed her Bachelor's and Master's in Pharmacy from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and holds another Master’s in Global Health from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. She is a Commonwealth Alumni and is officially involved in the Commonwealth Mentorship Programme, 2022-2023. Furthermore, she has also served as a teaching fellow in Gender, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Introduction to Public Health and Health Systems Management modules in the MPH Programme at JPGSPH.
