Short Biography

Md. Salah Uddin is a Senior Research Assistant at JPGSPH, completing a BSS and MSS in Anthropology at Comilla University. He is skilled in planning mixed-method studies, tools development, fieldwork, M&E activities, supervision, training, data management, analysis, report writing under a senior consultant, and preparing IRB. Expert in qualitative data analysis software (Atlas-ti) and quantitative data collection software (survey CTOCollect, KoBo Collect, CommCare, REDCape) and experience in basic computer and graphics designing (Moderate). His current two research projects evaluate the 1. 'Provision of services to analyze nutrition education and SBCC interventions, investment portfolio, and document best practices in the IFAD Asia and the Pacific Region (APR).' 2. Strengthening community-based approaches to improve Maternal Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) with inter-linked Essential Health Service Package (ESP) under the Primary Health Care (PHC). Previously, in 2021, he was working on the 'Feasibility of implementing the Trauma Registry and Trauma Systems Improvement Program in four District Hospitals in Bangladesh with high RTI burdens.' Also working on the 'Baseline Assessment of the Integrated Health, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Services Under the Rehabilitation Program for Up liftmen of Ultra-Poor Slum Dwellers in Mohammadpur and Mirpur at Dhaka City and Saidpur in Nilphamari District in Bangladesh.' In 2020, he worked on FAO MUCH Project_ Research on the 'Development of Integrated Nutrition Messages for Schools.' Earlier in 2015-19, he worked as a Research Assistant and Field Research Assistant at the different national and international NGOs, INGOs, and research institutes (IOM, World Vision, Comilla University, and CIPRB) on public health issues.
