Short Biography
Ishrat Binte Aftab is a public health researcher specializing in maternal health, ageing, mental health and health equity. She is currently a Senior Research Associate at BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, where she contributes to large-scale projects including the THRIFT study on ageing and digital financial inclusion. She holds an M.Sc. in Health Science (Prevention & Health Promotion) from the Technical University of Munich and a B.Sc. in Microbiology from BRAC University. Her research and publications span maternal healthcare inequalities, ageing-related vision and financial health, and infectious disease management. With over four years of experience in quantitative and qualitative research, Ishrat is deeply committed to advancing maternal and child health, ageing, and social determinants of health through evidence-based policy and practice.
