Coordinator: Dr Nahitun Naher, Assistant Director, BRAC JPGSPH

Objective:This study explored the feasibility of implementing a ‘trauma registry’ (TR) and ‘trauma system improvement programme (TSIP)’ in some areas of Bangladesh with a high RTI burden, including the identification of useful and reliable audit filters for monitoring the TSIP processes.

More specifically, it aimed to:
• Design and implement trauma registry for six months in four selected district hospitals having a high burden of RTIs, analyse data and give recommendations based on findings.
• Design and implement trauma quality audit filters and trauma system improvement program in the selected hospitals and identify the bottlenecks and measures to overcome these.
