Objective:
The objective of this study is to establish a nutrition-focused panel dataset and estimate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hence, we will use the same data collection tool and report on the same indicators following the same methodology as 2018-19.
Therefore, we will report on:
- Nutrition status of all members of the household, stratified by age and gender.
- Food security, dietary diversity and infant and child feeding practices and nutrition practices during pregnancy and lactation.
- Behavioural and clinical risk factors (high intake of salt, consumption of tobacco products, physical inactivity, hypertension, obesity) among adolescents and adults.
- Water, sanitation, and hygiene practices
Moreover, using the panel data, we will be able to report on:
- Evolution of the above-mentioned nutrition indicators over time.
- Identify factors that contribute to a change in the nutrition status of individuals over time (e.g., time-series analysis using individual or household level fixed effects).
- Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the relevant outcomes.
Methodology: Quantitative, Panel data
