Short Biography

Ms. Shyama Sultana is working as Manager (Human Resources) at BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University. Her core responsibilities include ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations, lead the recruitment and talent management, act as a focal of performance management, lead the development of different HR engagement programs and HR policies, procedures, oversee employee motivation & development and maintain effective employee relationships. Ms. Shyama has a 10 years of professional experience in providing extensive HR supports to the employees of the organizations. Prior to joining JPGSPH, she worked at the Human Resources Division of BRAC, the largest NGO in the world. During her professional journey with BRAC Human Resource Division, she worked on gender and social inclusion from HR perspective, workplace diversity and safeguarding policy. She holds Masters in Public Administration from University of Chittagong and PGD in HRM from Bangladesh Institute of Management. Apart from conventional Human Resource practices, she has keen interest in people leadership and organizational development. She values ideas and her long term vision is to explore best international HR practices and implement the insights in current organization. When she is not working, she loves to travel and reads books to her son.
