Short Biography

Sajib Rana is an Assistant Research Coordinator at JPGSHP and pursuing an MSc in Public Health and Informatics at the Jahangirnagar University. His research focuses on health disparities among marginalized populations in Bangladesh, including slum dwellers, ethnic minorities, school dropout adolescents, trafficked survivors, and gender diversity. He worked on substance abuse among slum adolescents and the impact of COVID-19 on this population demonstrates the relevance of public health knowledge in addressing pressing issues. Additionally, he was involved in evaluating school health programs and conducting research on cross-border trafficking highlights his commitment to understanding and improving the well-being of vulnerable groups. He is currently working on an advocacy project, which aims to amplify the voices of structurally silenced women through qualitative research and develop advocacy tools, which is particularly important for raising awareness and effecting positive change. His comprehensive and diverse research endeavors showcase his dedication to addressing health inequalities and advocating for marginalized communities in Bangladesh.
