Short Biography

Mr. Rhidoy Ahmed has more than 2 years’ experience in qualitative research in public health, including gender, sexual and reproductive health and rights, migration, climate change, women's empowerment, and gender-based violence. He graduated with an MSS in Sociology from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet. He worked on the project "Impact Evaluation Design for Evaluation of Adolescent Student Program (Bangladesh)—Qualitative Component," where he helped to analyse the qualitative data regarding the conditions and scenarios of child marriage in Bangladesh. In another project with CREA, he was involved in exploring and analysing the physical and online space access and rights of indigenous women in Chittagong hill tracts. Besides that, he worked on other projects. Recently, he published a book chapter in the Handbook of Social Justice in the Global South titled "Socio-economic impacts of involuntary return migration: a case study of Bangladeshi migrant workers during the COVID-19 pandemic" in 2023.
