Short Biography

Shahed Hossain is an adjunct Professor at the School for about a decade. As a professor, he coordinates the Health Systems Management (HSM) module for the MPH course. Also as the coordinator of the Hub for Excellence in Public Health Policy and Practice (HEPP), he conducts training on systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and implementation research. He is also a regular reviewer for the IRB of the school. A physician trained in public health with 40 years of experience in working with the public health systems in Bangladesh, with WHO Bangladesh and as a senior research scientist with icddr,b. Conducted community-based interventions, monitoring and evaluation of interventions, vaccine trials, operational, implementation and health systems researches. He regularly publishes and takes part in reviewing papers from different journals. He has an MSc. in clinical epidemiology and a PhD on Health Systems Management.
