Short Biography

Mr. Md. Jahedul Islam is a writer and researcher in public health. He has finished his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Anthropology from the University of Chittagong and a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management (PGDPM) from the Academy of Business Professionals (ABP). He is employed full-time as a Senior Research Assistant at BRAC University's James P. Grant School of Public Health. He worked as a Data Transcriber, Research Assistant, and Deputy Research Coordinator for almost three years with BRAC, Gender and Adolescent: Global Evidence (GAGE), Micro Governance Research Initiative (MGR), and Bath University. His research interests include implementation science, SRHR, GBV, DRR, climate change, health systems, communicable diseases, universal health coverage, pandemic response, and humanitarian crises. In national and international publications and journals, he has published over sixty articles, letters, features, and abstracts in Bangla and English. He has received the Best Writer Award three times at the regional and national levels. Furthermore, he has served as a field facilitator in the module of Qualitative Research Methodology of Public Health Programs, a teaching fellow in the module of Implementation Research, and mentored the students in their Summative Learning Project (SLP) in the MPH program of JPGSPH.
