Short Biography

Farzana Quddus is a Grants and Data Repository Manager at BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health of BRAC University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Her core responsibilities include identifying relevant research calls and communicating to BRAC JPGSPH researchers; coordinating the administrative processes of grant submission, including collection of relevant administrative and financial documents for due diligence; liaising with partners, external researchers/research organizations, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for inter-organizational collaboration and resource mobilization; managing and coordinating the activities related to data archiving/development of institutional data repository. Ms. Farzana has graduated from the University of Manitoba (U of M), Winnipeg, Canada (Master of Arts in Sociology). She was an Assistant Professor at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology and served the university for ten years. In Canada, she worked as a Research Coordinator at the Manitoba Center for Health Policy, the health research hub of U of M, for over ten years. Ms. Farzana has gained considerable experience in teaching, project management, coordination and submission of research grant proposals, and quantitative and qualitative research - highlights include experience in organizing and facilitating interviews and focus groups, data analysis, presentation, and report writing. Farzana also has worked as a Data Repository Access Coordinator at U of M. She is experienced in database management of research projects.
