Short Biography

Reun Tanzin Oshru is a Senior Research Assistant at the BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health at BRAC University. She has over 6 years of experience in research and capacity building. She completed her BSS in 2018 and MSS in 2019, from the Department of Population Sciences, University of Dhaka. Reun was awarded the 'Commander Abdur Rouf Memorial Gold Medal 2018' in the 53rd Convocation for outstanding academic achievements. She has a diverse skill set of conceptualizing and conducting both qualitative and quantitative research. Her research interests span over various areas such as demography, epidemiology, child and maternal health, sexual and reproductive health, gender and masculinity, climate change and vulnerability, population and development, global health, population and health policies and programs in Bangladesh, child and youth population, and population dynamics in Bangladesh. Prior to joining the BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, Reun worked at Share-Net Bangladesh, the largest SRHR knowledge sharing platform in the country. Her passion for working in the field of SRHR grew as she assisted senior researchers in their research projects. Reun believes in continuous learning, and her work at the BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health has provided her with opportunities to learn and grow as a researcher in public health.
